Chill afternoon vibes, quick service, good music, great food! Friendly staff were quick to answer any questions we had, and the food came out quick and hot! Doro Wot was one of the best stews I've had in a while Would recommend and will definitely be back! Only dropped a star on service because our vegan/meat entres were served on the same plate, not too big a deal.

After searching for an Ethiopian restaurant around Portland area, I came across Enat Ethiopian restaurant. The place looks inviting from the outside with clean area and benches for outdoor seating with a natural garden. As you walk inside, the ambiance is warm and welcoming. I was greeted by a courteous young gentleman who was friendly. I ordered the veggie combo platter and as an Ethiopian who was taught by my mother on cooking Ethiopian food, I was not disappointed and even enjoyed this dish. The chickpea stew was well balanced, the lentils was cooked with proper consistency, the collard greens and string beans was also sauteed accordingly. All in all, it is a great cozy spot for anyone looking to bring either a family or a couple or just an individual like myself would enjoy. Cheers!

Enat has been our family's favorite, beloved Ethiopian restaurant for many years now-- my partner and I really can't imagine our lives without our regular dinner visits there every couple of weeks. The varied dishes are easily the most flavorful and fresh anywhere (including in other cities). We are fond of all of the vegetarian dishes, including the shiro and richer tegabino shiro that we recently discovered. The meat dishes shine equally, including the doro wat and chicken tibs. The injera is always fresh and fragrant. The owner of the restaurant, as well as her whole family, are genuinely kind and gracious. Eating there feels like being with extended kin. We wish them well and hope Enat sticks around for a very long time!

Wonderful food and excellent service. The owner and staff are always welcoming and warm (as the name of the restaurant "Enat/Mother" suggests). I'm so happy that this place is still around and seems to have only gotten better with time. For delicious Ethiopian food with several Vegan options, this is a wonderful place to visit in Portland.

Four of us went for dinner to celebrate my son in law's birthday tonight. My daughter and her hubby had been before, but we were first timers. Wow, just wow! The food, the feeling of being family, and the ambiance were all 5s. You will not be disappointed. Mom is the cook and her son is the waiter. He was fantastic and Mom's cooking is exemplary! Run, don't walk.

A friend and I decided to try Ethiopian cuisine for the 1st time while in town for a concert. We shared the couples platter because it gave us a taste of several dishes. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was over and beyond! I'll definitely stop in again!

Authentic and Delicious is how I will start the review! A nice gem to find in Portland, with authentic feels of Ethiopia and delicious food. The service was personable and attentive for a busy Friday night and the Tej was a nice wine to enjoy with our tibs! Definitely recommend and will be back!

Out of all the Ethiopian restaurants we chose Enats and boy were glad we did; greeted and served by Menbere E, brought menus and water promptly, explained the various menu items, helped immensely. We decided on the couples plate which included three types of meat and various vegetable items laid out on a bed of injera surrounded by rolled injera. Checked on occasionally but not intuitive (the perfect host). Menbere explained that his mother and him opened up the restaurant 14yrs ago and even included our coffee to celebrate our 36yr anniversary.
